sweet potatos and pureed apple and cream-of-banana OH MY!

these are just a few things we've added to the avocado and pear munchings... and most things are only about 1/2-3/4 of a teaspoon of total intake... with the exception of pureed zucchini which the kiddo MONCHES about 1 tbsp gladly... and then the sweet potato came along... and mixed with some mama milk, he ate at least 1tbsp all pureed up... holey schmoleys! and then some pureed apple on top of that! it was a blissful nite that nite, let me tell ya... only one wake up--and not until 530am... then another snooze until 825a! what a glorious nite!

is this my sippy cup? allllll mine???

and then this afternoon (the afternoon after) happened... BARF! ugh! i'm NOT looking fwd to a full diet of solid foods when BARF comes along.... so the strange thing is that his cousin tz also barfed after sweet potatos... 2x... anyone have ideas on this one??? maybe it was the apples... maybe it was the next mornings pears?? man... i wish i could see the forest for the trees.

in other news... we had a wonderful time with granmamaj out here again while i worked 6 days... little j looked and looked for her the morning she left (before he woke up)... he peered around the corners the way we/he would on the mornings she was downstairs enjoying fresh coffee before we came down... soooo cute!

vroom vroom! honk honk! whooo whooooo! vehicle noises!

daddy's 38th birthday came a tad less than a week before HAPPY FATHER'S DAY... so we had fun stretching the celebration out through the week+... strawberry pie... fresh berries from a local farm... pineapple upside down cake... halibut... salmon... we feasted!!!! and oh what fun... the bounty of the northwest! makes me wanna be an organic farmer (my own garden) and get scott to go fishin! ahhh, but then reality sets in and all i really wanna do is go for a nice long trail run... then coffee and a pastry after meeting up with "thboys" again. ;)

heh heh... hangin' with my dad.

hubby and i had a fun bob run around the wmt river and bridges downtown followed by my very favorite farmer's market on the park blocks... YUM YUM! we got to see j's fav ragtimers and a double bass player... a string quartet and a harpist (separate) in different locations along the park strip and outside the market... lovely... really lovely. we saw our fav farmer's daughter... who also works at an organic farm + goes to school and waits at a fabulous french restaurant among probably 50 other things... j gave her his best cheesers and shy guy flirtations. :)

the ragtime duo... fun fun!

contemplative time in the bob.

and in a few days... we head up north to run the marathon/half... will test us both... and hopefully we perservere and hit our goals and have FUN in the process! we'll certainly enjoy seeing lots of friends and relatives in the process! hmmm... i think this might call for a new wild running skirt... we'll seeeeeee... check out skirtsports.com pretty fun!

the best little smile EVER! :) and sitting SOOO good! his new ball is a hit, too!

a good nite to all and to all a good nite!

who says you need to count sheep! why not just suck on their ear and sleep with them!
