Happy Happy boy at TJT's!!! thanks for the great pics you took!!!!! this is post marathon/half day... more of these on shutterfly... but i haven't linked it to my shutterfly acct... will see if i can... so it's all in one place. We had a wonderful weekend up in the emerald city last weekend... about 30 professing folks (+/- a few) joined up to run the marathon and run, walk, run/walk the half... we had first timers, many timers, pre-baby, post-baby, girlies, boylies, and a nice range of ages... the host city was best represented, but so was OH, CA x a few, OR, and AZ. we had a great afternoon rondy'ing depotts... met sue and fam for the first time... got to stay at TJTZ's for a lovely wknd... cousinT showed J allllll sorts of things, which was soooooo fun! J came back with new babblings that i think T must have inspired. Gpa/GmaZ met us there and provided wonderful J-care... they also got J to the race end so I could have that completely interesting/fun/somewhat initially stressful experience of immed-post-race babyfeeding--this time at a coffeehouse rather than in the back of the car... ahh, the joys... but so worth it! we had a very tasty pre-race gourmet pasta/salad/fruit/brownie feed at JM's in no-sea... and excellent taco salad at TJT's post race followed by a sing. sunday was lovely... got to see AR and the 4 cousins that afternoon... Thanks to alllll who had a hand in our fabulous weekend! and congrats to ea. finisher!

a few new firsts...
june 30 = mamammaammaamamamama... doesn't know it's me, but yay! consonants!!!
july 1 = more babbling sounds with and without toys in his mouth... soooo cute!
now passing toys easily from hand to hand... has been for awhile... but haven't noticed any "tug of war" between the 2 hands like he was a few weeks ago when one grasp wouldn't release at the right time.
loves his exersaucer that cousinT is sharing with him from up north... she was so nice to show him how to push certain buttons and turn some rattles and etc...
blows much better raspberries now that new friendTG from ethiopia showed him how to do it... did not understand how TG (7mo) could commando crawl so fast across the carpet tho... that was fun to watch!
loves squash and zucchini, likes pears and carrots (but not mom's, only gerber's), peaches may not be so bad, avocado is hanging in there, cereal is yucky still, bananas are not preferred... green beans are gross, peas are still not tasty. bottle has been hit/miss the past week or two which is a little disappointing/concerning, but maybe just a phase... sippy cup is interesting but very little obtained from it... straws are only successful when the fluid on the other end is NOT something he's to be eating/drinking at this point. ;)
you can't see all the carrots sprayed/painted all over the outfit due to the orange whales that are ALSO actually SUPPOSED to be there... he's a finger painting master at such a young age!
sleeping pretty well again... snuggling more when sleepy... pat-patting vigorously... loves his hanaboat... enjoys the bob in the bigboy position... and still makes all the old ladies and even some old men smile in public places... :)
