I just picked 8 new cherry and grape tommy-toes from my 5+feet tall tomato plants on the deck!!! The basil has been producing up a storm... I can't keep ahead of the flowering tops, it seems... the sage is tasty but much stronger than I anticipated... and the rosemary is wonderful... My yellow bell pepper is just leaves and flowers... no peppers thus far... bummer! Unfortunately, this stretch of 100-109 has left the cilantro (and italian parsley that somehow slipped in there) looking about 90% electrocuted! oops! so much for my green thumb... but then again, i was never u
nder the impression i had one... hence... i picked "low maint." plants that would survive in "full sun" on a condo deck... i need plants that look extremely wilty (fast) when they need water, and perky when they don't. no guessing games! I found a loving home for my one indoor house plant that is unfortunately poisonous for little baby tummies... and likely dog tummies, too... so only fake indoor plants for me... which is just as well!

in other news... little j is loving his "brainy baby" einstein board book with shapes and colors... must be because he inherited his mother's intellect, dontchaknow... :) hee hee... and much like his mother, he is fascinated by the sunbeam streaming across the floor, and (not like his mother) he really-really-really-really-really wants to pull on hana's tail... who is laying ohhhhh so close, but just far enough out of his non-fwd-propulsionability reach to be safe. :) whew! daddy's on guard to protect hb from what she doesn't know... as her front half is under the daybed/couch chomping on a dino from auntieree.

we reorganized the pantry and "kidproofed" the kitchen for now... will address a few counter top and drawer things in an other month or more... depending on the gross motor skill advancement speed. :) we decided we'd better take advantage of the strange motivation to attack the plastic bags and doggie treats and heavy metal/glass items + cleaning supplies WHEN the motivation struck!!!

i'm loving the sunshine... but wouldn't complain about some 70s and 80s. :) but ahh... we'll take real summer as long as possible!
