I keep forgetting to document a couple other key songs that always helps j get his groove on... "Hey mama... I love you" by Michael Franti and Spearhead... and the "hey soul sistah, aint that mistah mistah on the radio..." song... i haven't looked up who sings that yet.... :)
and, the main highlight at the zoo was when we were by some roosters and chickens at "the farm" section... a rooster strutted right over and got next to the fence... jakob was on the otherside, of course, and cockadoodle dooooooooooooooood about 10 times... literally... jakob just got all wide eyed... wooooowwwwwwwww! so cool! :)
he likes taking the lid on/off the washed out applesauce container... pretty good at it unless it's screwed on snuggly.
he enjoys putting this smallish squishy ball into the applesauce container and then having to pour it out... as he learned that when you stick your hand in and grip it, your hand is then too big to come out of the jar, no matter how hard you tug. :)
the nose sucker bulb is a big hit... he actually doesn't mind it getting used.... which is good... cuz his colds produce amazing amts of snot (he's had 3... one at 8wks old, one at 9mo, and one just last week... have no idea where the last one came from... the other 2 are quite explainable). he also likes to take the bulb apart and put it back together--getting better on putting it back together part.
he can snap his 2 buckles that hold him into his dining seat... and most often wants to do it himself. :)
he's great at sucking his straw cup even with the no-spill valve in place... which takes some force!
