Here we are... mid-October... lots of fun lately... some of the highlights...
more time on all 4's... sometimes crawling this way, but commando crawling is faster... cell phone is still a HUGE motivator... and he now climbs up the stairs by himself (still with close supervision... SBA x 1 and occasionally CGA x 1 for you medical folks) 1-2x/day... and celebrates with king of the bongos on the dryer lid.
birthday sushi... LONG TRAIL RUN with ultimaterunnergirlfriend and hubby ... with extra special support from hb and--on the PCT... on a gloriously sunny and cool day... wind picked up up high as we were finishing... had some mouth/eye-fulls of fine glacier/volcanic sand... but oh what a fabulous day. i was thinking it would be cool to do 35mi on my 35th bday... but then recognized that i was indeed not trained to just throw down 35mi without risking injury... mainly due to my continued weakness in the pelvic ligaments, etc... so... i settled for 25mi... cuz that's how old i think i am. ;) plus all the wisdom that comes with my advanced age, of course. ;)
fab crew at mile 9.3ish... hb came with us between mi 6-9.3 and then was slowing significantly... soooo many ground squirrels... so she resumed crewing. :)
i forgot to mention that j pushed 2 more bottom teeth through while we visited my homeland... and the next 2 top teeth were trying... and are still trying... tho they've broken through the gums but haven't descended much... that was on top of his cold when we returned (plane trips... and his daddy had it, too... whaddya expect)

crawling up and in and over the bouncy seat...
j still has a strong love affair going with the vacuum... and about any power cord or LED power light, etc...
since NE, he's become a pull-to-stander and crawl up/over monster... up and over pillows, us, a leg, his old bouncy seat, etc... he's not so good on the lowering yet, so... there have been several "falls like a tree" and other mishaps... today was the first day i looked on the monitor during his supposed nap to see him standing tall, hanging onto the railing, alternately singing, squealing, and gnawing on it... all the while looking into the camera deal... that one ended in a tree fall as i was heading up the stairs to show him how to safely sit down... eek. this is gonna be hard on mommy!
eating is going well... he likes picking up things with his fingers and usually gets them into his mouth for good chewing and gumming... sometimes he likes to watch them drop through the crack between his chair and the table... hb likes this especially. drinking continues to improve from the straw cup and the sippy. he now likes to hang onto them himself.... and sometimes bang them = drops/spray.
we had a wonderful visit from fabulous akrunnermama and babyp... what a CUTIE PATOOTIE... mellow and chill and happy to travel the country! sooooo much fun! loved it!
we got to see the 8 puppies that cousinpuppersMT had... ohmy... if i wasn't so ready to be done having a dog (when hb passes on to the squirrel/rabbit/cat chasing land in the sky), i'd almost be convinced we needed one... but no... i'll save that privilege for someone else... :) gorgeous doggies.. and MT is looking so trim now! i can't imagine nursing 8... wow. we got to see the AR fam, the JTT fam, and gpa/gmaZ as well...
cousinT (will be 2 in jan) and babyj had soooooooooooo much fun together! playing, shaking bells and rattles, groovin' to music, commando crawling, playing on the fisherprice table, etc... the BEST tho was at dinner time when they ea. sat at the table and traded squeals... turns out the volume, pitch, and projection must run in the Z family... HILARIOUS!!!!! somehow we left their house without any pics on our camera... i know auntiejz has some on her site/shutterfly, tho! ;)

lots of fun these days... getting glimpses of just how challenging life with a toddler will be soon... but enjoying that he's just 10months old for now. :)
still looking for a solid mfg engineering job somewhere... help help!
