Just a quickie... had a road trip to WA this weekend for the HUSKER vs huskie game... whoo whoo, go big red! :)
J had some fun time with cousin T, GmaZ, and AuntieJ while mama went off with the z boys and papaj (minus brotherb) to the game... cousinT has a VERY COOL play kitchen that is HUGE and has alllll sorts of buttons on the "microwave" and "d/w" and etc etc etc that makes noises that sound almost like real... ding after a few sec of running, etc.... j was totally enthralled. he may not be a chef, but i think he could be a kitchen designer and tester... at least of the electronics. Thanks to UncleTnAuntieJ for the BnB!
the next day, we got to see UncleAnAuntieRn the cousins and dog... tasty food, lots of fun toys... K played the harp for us (gorgeous) while j tried to strum along and sing or rearrange her music and stand... she was very patient and gracious in letting j learn a few notes. AuntieR sent us down the road with a most fabulous latte from her exceptionally cool espresso set up... ahhhhh! too bad sz doesn't enjoy coffee!!!
that aft we drove to my favrunnerultimaterunnergirlfriend's place near pdx for the nite as sz had to fly out early to the greatnortheastish for work for the week... so j had sooooo much fun with neyney and a touch operated light... and in the morning, with her son on an electric guiter with an amplifier... ohhhh, the fun and joys! we got to meet up with friends anj from ak and j's friend masterP... great park and sandwiches and conversations!
what a great weekend! we're home now and decompressing with smoothies, almond butter/cinnamon toast... and ??? we'll see what else!
I get to run a race this weekend that's bound to be BEAUTimous for sure! sure would be nice to have a beautimous performance as well, but i imagine the altitude and lack of specificity in training may hamper that... but will just be glorious to be out there!
j's been singing more and more... and with more "notes" and pitches involved... on part of our drive, he started singing about "favuh tankthee... babble babble... inthewaaaaaalllllll....dohdohdohhhhhhh...chahhhhjjuhhhhhhhh..... favuh thanktheeee"... i'm glad He's thankful to the Father... and hopefully the Father enjoys that he's thankful for chargers and plugs that go in the wall. :) gotta love it!
